Newbridge Chamber
is authorised to provide EU Certificates of Origin and Arab Irish
Certificates of Origin.
What is a
Certificate of Origin?
Certain countries
require Certificates of Origin to prove the place of growth, production
or manufacture of goods. The signature of the consul of the country
is sometimes required.
The type of
Certificate required varies according to the destination of the
goods e.g. members states of the Arab League require an Arab Irish
Certificate of Origin. The majority of Certificates of Origin issued
by Newbridge Chamber will be for non Arab destination, namely EU
Certificate of Origin.
How to register
for Certification with the Chamber?
Before a company
can apply for a Certificate of Origin certain information is required
by the Chamber as set out below:
Members of
Chamber
1. An indemnity
form must be completed - this is available from the Chamber and
must be renewed every year.
2. An information form on your Company and its business must be
supplied.
3. A Signatory Form - A list of people in your company who are authorised
to sign applications for Certificates of origin and a sample of
their signature.

Stamping of related
documents: €2 each
Non members
of Chamber
1. Items 1,2
& 3 as set out above.
2. In addition a letter of reference from your bank is required.
Certificates
for Arab Destinations
Where an Exporter
wishes to send goods to an Arab state it is necessary to use an
Arab Irish Certificate of Origin. Following processing by Newbridge
Chamber, the Certificate along with any associated invoices must
also be sent to the Joint Arab Irish Chamber of Commerce, 63 Lower
Mount Street, Dublin 2 to be officially stamped and signed.
