There are 6
key benefits to membership of Newbridge Chamber.
1) Grow your
Business
Membership of Newbridge Chamber will give you a local network to
increase your business to business and individual customer
base. There are regular events held where you can invest some of
your valuable time to meet other members, create sales opportunities
and benefit from a shared experience, all in a relaxed environment.
2) Become
informed
The Chamber commits to give you regular updates on the issues that
matter to you and your business, including local and national charges,
legislative changes, developments in Newbridge town and environs.
In addition to this hard edged brief, the Chamber will also let
you know what your fellow members are up to through regular correspondence
and its newsletter, which should help you keep your finger on the
pulse in the area!
3) Representation
As a member, Newbridge Chamber will be vigilant and independently
represent your interests on local lobbying issues that could affect
the success of your business. Key issues affecting members at present
are the addressing of business costs, insurance fees, rates, water
charges and waste. Seeking funding from Kildare County Council and
Newbridge Town Council is a constant for the Chamber in an effort
to reduce the percentage increase in rates from business, while
continuing to receive the required services.
4) Training
Training for owners and staff is an often overlooked benefit of
membership. The Chamber provides an opportunity to learn new skills
or upgrade existing ones by organising relevant courses for members.
This is a useful tool for small businesses or small departments
of larger companies where such training would not be viable for
low numbers. Such training is provided at a reduced price or sometimes
even free.
5) Provision
of Export documentation
If you are in the export business, Newbridge Chamber can help you
do the business as it is authorised to provide you with
EU Certificates of Origin and Arab Irish Certificates of Origin.
6) National
and International Links
Chambers Ireland (http://www.chambers.ie) is an umbrella
body of which Newbridge Chamber is a member. CI provides a national
lobby and service programme for all chamber members throughout Ireland.
In addition, through CI, Newbridge Chamber members are part of
Eurochambres, Europes biggest business organisation.
